The FahCore_81.exe process is related to the project [email protected] [email protected] is a distributed computing project designed to perform computer simulations of protein folding, mainly using the molecular dynamics technique.
The idea of that project is to use the power of thousands and thousands of home computers to process information.
For this reason it is likely that the FahCore_81.exe process uses a lot of CPU capacity, but, in principle, the computer should not slow down, since the process has very low priority. This means that if there are other applications/user processes running, FahCore_81.exe will stop using so much CPU capacity. In other words, FahCore_81.exe uses CPUs that are not being used by any other process.
If you don't want the process to appear ca, try removing the [email protected] program from Add and Remove Programs.
If for some reason it still appears, you will have to terminate the TWO processes that handle [email protected] from the Task Manager.First you have to close a process that can be called fah.exe, that is, it will most likely start with "fah", then you have to close fahcore_81.exe.
Then look for both files on the computer and remove them.
